Digoxigenin-Labeled Probe-Based Colony Blotting Assay for Rapid Quantification of Salmonella Serovars in Seafood and Water.

The article discusses the results of a study that examines the non-radio-labeled probe-based colony blotting assay detection method for rapid enumeration of Salmonella serovars in seafood and water samples. The probe-based technique using a digoxigenin-based labeling assay is compared with the quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. the Salmonella in spiked seafood and water samples was successfully quantified by the assay.
