Abstract
- In the article, the author discusses the developments in the activities of choirs in Great Britain. She focuses on the misconception that all choirs in the country can sight-read. She cites that teaching singers to read is a vital responsibility of any choral conductor, particularly those who direct young liturgical singers. She presents her own methods for teaching sight-singing, including the playing of notes on the piano and allowing the choir to identify them by singing their letter names.
