Abstract

In a mere 48 hours, The Times of London, The Sunday Times of London, the Sun and The News of the World. These papers represent about a third of Fleet Street's circulation and were stripped of their antiquated presses and moved lock, stock and barrel to a highly automated and less militantly unionized plant on the other side of London. This desertion of London's newspaper district sent shudders through Britain's labor movement.
