Abstract

The article presents a study on the possible role of extracorporeal photochemotherapy (ECP) in the long term treatment of the disease in patients with severe chronic atopic dermatitis (SAD) recalcitrant to traditional therapies for more than 6 months. The study used Declaration of Helsinki principles for clinical investigation. It confirms that ECP can be a safe, effective treatment in patients with SAD resistant to previous therapies.
