Abstract

In this article, the authors offer to enhance knowledge and appreciation of the glass electrode's mechanistic uncertainty. The authors explain that the glass electrode, the most commonly used device to access the pH of an aqueous solution, attains highly accurate measurements through simple and well-established procedures. The article also references several studies regarding the glass electrode's response to pH such as the "Development of the Glass Electrode," by Moore and colleagues.
