Abstract

Discusses the biogeochemical lines of evidence pointing to vegetation as the primary source of methyl bromide and methyl chloride emissions from salt marshes. Soil inundation; Relation of methyl chloride and methyl bromide fluxes with overall plant biomass; Diurnal variabilities of fluxes that correspond with variations in air, temperature, sunlight and carbon dioxide emissions.
