Abstract: The article reports that the European Union (EU) is coming up with new pesticide rules by the end of 2013. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has released its report which states the scientific criteria to assess the effect of endocrine active substances found in the food chain. According to the report, endocrine disruptors can interfere with normal hormone activity in humans, and any substances that fall in this category will not be able to be used in the EU.
