Abstract
- The authors examine whether adequate ethical oversight of participant-led research (PLR) must involve standard ethics review. The protection of study participants is the principal justification for ethical oversight in research with humans. The authors describe a proposal for adapting current ethical oversight standards to address the distinctive concerns raised by PLR.
