Abstract
- Nicaragua's Sandinista government is having a rough time keeping the revolution afloat while waiting out President Reagan's last two years in office. Reagan has asked for more aid for the contras, who have stepped up their offensives. The US economic embargo has hurt the economy. Business leaders are critical of Nicaragua's `mixed' economy, and the Catholic Church criticizes suppression of civil liberties.
