Abstract
- The article presents a study of the evaluation of various vertical jump (VJ) performance variables of male and female elite Italian soccer players. Countermovement and squatting jump heights were analyzed to determine stretch-shortening cycle efficiency (SSCE), as well as differences based on competitive levels and sex. The results indicate that vertical jump testing does not differentiate competitive levels, but can be used to assess lower limb muscle strength in soccer players.
