Abstract

The process of globalization and international integration is laced by Slovenia and Luka Koper. Existing and proposed links with Central and Eastern European countries through the port of Koper represent an important opportunity for the entire Slovenian economy. The Port of Koper have, as the largest hub of maritime, rail and road transport in Slovenia, an important role in the transport chain of goods. It lies on the shortest route connecting the Central and Eastern Europe with the Mediterranean and Middle, Middle and Far East. The article provides the possibility of developing the Port of Koper from assumptions of the business policy. On the drive to further sustainable development with effective regulatory framework for the success factors of production policies, staffing policy and vision of market policies as the modern port for Central and Eastern Europe. While the ecological politics of envy businesses and regions and with profitable financial policy to establish a development policy of the Port of Koper in integrated logistics distribution center in the wider region.
