Abstract
- The article discusses the legal aspects of child support (CS) payment delinquency in the U.S. as of June 2013, focusing on various CS enforcement tools for the federal government such as the U.S. Deadbeat Parents Punishment Act of 1998 and the Child Support Recovery Act of 1992. The Commerce Clause of the nation's Constitution is addressed, along with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit case United States v. Black. Federal intervention into state matters is also examined.
