Abstract

The article presents information on mountaineer Sally Jewell, who was sworn in as the 51st secretary of the interior in the U.S. on April 12, 2013. 57-year-old Jewell climbed Mount Rainier seven times along with some other highest peaks in the world; and she described her new job as the steepest part of the learning curve. Rainier succeeds Ken Salazar, the former interior secretary of the U.S.
