Abstract

The article discusses a form of supplementary feedback where second-year undergraduate students are given the chance to forecast their final course grades while the course is still under way. The goal of this predictive feedback is to help the students develop a more realistic evaluation of their progress in the course and make better decisions about how much time and effort they have to devote to the course. The results suggest that grade forecasting is a useful addition to a course.
