Abstract
- A linearized motion model of attack-defense confrontation against the highly maneuverable penetrator is developed based on the theory of linear quadratic differential game. The relationship between the required minimum overload of interceptor and the maneuvering overload of penetrator is studied under the condition that the interceptor can successfully intercept the penetrator in the ideal case. The analytical forms of the condition that the ratio of confrontation overloads should satisfy for the interceptor implementing the perfect intercept are derived. Based on the condition that the initial zero effort miss is zero, relationship between interception zone and penetration zone and some parameters such as the ratio of maneuvering overload and dynamics response time constant are developed. By establishing a theory of the relation between the two sides' confrontation overloads, the theoretical results are obtained. The results show that a smaller initial distance and a greater closing velocity could reduce the requirement of the overload ratio for implementing the perfect intercept. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
