Abstract
- The article examines the social aspects of schools and how they can be used as meeting places for culturally diverse communities that promote education. It discusses feminist geographer Doreen Massey's views on place and space while also considering the definitions and advantages of communities. Particular attention is given to collaborative research conducted in Adelaide, Australia which looked at the cooperation between community members and educators in developing a school environment.
