Abstract

Economically viable ZnS and Cd doped ZnS nanorods were synthesised in egg albumin matrix for drug carrier and bioimaging to develop a new generation of effective drug carrier and imaging for cancer therapy. This system is capable of overcoming biophysical, biological and biomedical barriers that the physiological system encounters against conventional cancer therapies. The sulphide nanorods were formed from the hydrolysis of thiourea, where the albumin acts as a structural agent that guides in the formation of nanorods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
