The Barred Colors of André Cadere.

An essay is presented on the work of post-minimalist and conceptual artists André Cadere. It offers a history of Cadere's work and examines an incident at Documenta 5 at the Museum Fridericianum in Kassel, Germany in which Cadere spray painted an exhibition building in an act of defiance against director Harald Szeemann. It goes on to talk about Cadere's other work such as the production of wooden dowels which he described as portable paintings and other acts of defiance.
