Abstract
- The non-uniform array made up of different-direction antennas has unique advantages for the DOA measurement of radiant point, and it has been widely used in ELINT. Because of the transmission factors of multipath transmission and ionospheric refraction, more and more elliptic polarized signals present to ELINT applications. The existing DOA measurement method of the non-uniform array can't be applied for the elliptic polarized signals because of the DOA measurement bias. The influence mechanism of the electromagnetic wave polarization and antenna polarization on the DOA measurement is studied in this paper, and a DOA measurement method based on the radial symmetry of two elements array of the non-uniform array is proposed, which is capable of measuring DOA of arbitrary polarization signal. It is great significant to the development of non-uniform array technique. The proposed algorithm is validated by simulation results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
