Abstract
- The article offers insights for library professionals on serving English as a second language (ESL) students particularly in Canada. Library professionals are advised to make eye contact with ESL students and speak with them slowly. They are also advised not to assume that they know exactly what book or other items ESL library users are looking for. Another recommendation is to use visual aids when they fail to communicate with these users in words.
