Abstract
- A critique is presented of the film "A Field in England" written by Amy Jump and directed by Ben Wheatley, which depicts the 17th century British civil war. The portrayal of English landscapes in film, the history of British horror films, and the influence of films such as "Witchfinder General" by Michael Reeves are discussed, as well as the plot of Wheatley's film.
