Abstract
- Provides a description of regional occurrence of plasmid-medicated SHV-7 in Enterobacteriaceae other than Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae in the U.S. Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-positive Enterobacter cloacae recovered at three hospitals in the Philadelphia region; Difficulty in the detection of plasmid-encoded ESBL in the presence of AmpC beta-lactamases.
