Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 23-year old man who has fever, shortness of breath and progressive blurring of vision over one week. His light microscopic examination of the kidney tissue shows multiple confluent necrotizing epitheloid cell granulomas that are replacing tubules. He was given a four-drug antituberculosis treatment which helped restore his vision. The article discusses acute interstitial nephritis which accounts for 15-25% of biopsies done for acute kidney injury patients.
