Abstract

As is well known, the morphological level of languages is the linguistic module in which the creation of words (lexical morphology) and the formation of their variants (inflectional morphology) are produced. For these two purposes are used various methods that can act in one of these areas or in both. In the case of the processes acting in lexical morphology, specialists tend to focus on the study of what might be called greater or naturals ones (affixation, composition, modification), while relegating others like blending or acronymy to the periphery of morphology. Assuming that these processes are also important in the formation of words, this study aims to draw up their inventory and outline their key features, something which will allow us to justify the designation of artificial which we propose for them.
