Abstract

Objetive: ensure trat there is no change in the work area and angle of attack when camparing the orbitozygomatic approach with respect to the variant proposed approach. Material and methods: we performed in 15 human skulls preserved with the technique of the Faculty of Medicine (UNAM) orbitozygomatic approach and the proposed variant (internal orbitcranial transzygomatic), measurements were made of angle of attack and work area, we performed the statistical analysis of the results. Results: the work area remains unchanged in both approaches(orbitozygomatic and variant), the angle of attack is greater in the orbitozygomatic approach with respect to the variant. Conclusions: the approach proposed variant (internal orbitocranial transzygomatic) does not change the work area but has a lower angle of attack with respect to the clasical orbitozygomatic approach.
