Abstract

Highlights: [•] We present a comparative genomic analysis of the oxidative enzymes in Agaricus bisporus. [•] Oxidative enzyme diversity is consistent with A. bisporus environmental adaptation. [•] 109 cytochrome P450 genes found, which lacked extensive duplication and clustering. [•] Highest number of HTPs in sequenced Basidiomycetes and high numbers of GLXs and CROs. [•] Microarray analyses suggest their role in development and substrate degradation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
