Abstract

Studies the establishment of tall fescue and its subsequent growth and development when sown alone or in mixture with an aggressive grass species Lolium perenne at several densities. Several characteristics of agronomic value exhibited by tall fescue; Problems that deter the wider use of tall fescue in farming in Great Britain; Capability of the tall fescue to withstand severe climatic and soil conditions.
