Abstract: The article reports on a conference of German librarians in Leipzig, Germany, from March 11-14, 2013, which focused on the effect of technological innovations on library and information services and knowledge management. The authors present summaries of several conference panels, including on library collection and personnel management, library science education and information literacy education, and legal and political aspects of libraries in Germany.
