Abstract
- The article details how dairy farmer Gavin Fowler benefited from the installation of wind turbines. Fowler farms 300 cows on his farm in Branton, England. He has installed two 11-kilowatt (kW) wind turbines in 2010 to reduce energy costs. Each turbine produces an average of 35,000kW, providing half of the energy needed to run the farm's parlour. Fowler expects the return on investment to be just five years.
