Abstract

Abstract: A new parametrization for improved quark mass density-dependent (IQMDD) model by including ω tensor and non-linear ω–ρ couplings has been proposed. By employing this model, the ground-state properties of finite nuclei, the saturation properties of the nuclear matter and the equation of state (EOS) of neutron star matter are studied. It has been shown that this model is able to provide a good description not only for the ground-state properties of finite nuclei but also for the saturation properties of the nuclear matter. The results obtained by using the new IQMDD model are compared with the relativistic mean field model and experimental findings. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
