Abstract: The article presents research results aimed at creation of methods for carrying out an audit of accessibility in public buildings. The method takes the form of a table with the author's checklist and recommendations for how to describe the results of the audit. The scope of the assessment includes different types of disability and concerns such aspects of accessibility as: mobility, orientation, access to information and security. Beside the description of the method in the article there are examples of practical use, thus confirming the correctness of the assumptions and the usefulness of the method in practice.
