Abstract
- The article presents the author's insights on how she engages and teaches her students in an early violin lessons. The author says that a non-judgmental atmosphere is established at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music String Academy and mistakes are considered as a chance for learning. She adds that the first individual lesson at the academy is started by balancing the violin.
