Abstract
- Highlights: [•] Timing of brain activity during absence seizures is unclear. [•] MEG was used to determine corticothalamic brain activity during absence seizures. [•] Before absence seizure onset most activity was seen in frontal cortex and thalamus. [•] MEG can be used to measure corticothalamic activity with high temporal resolution. [•] Focal ictal activity occurs during “generalized” childhood absence seizures. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
