Highlights: [•] Failure mode and ultimate capacity of web-strengthened FRP beams subjected to concentrated loads. [•] Eleven beams were tested; three strengthening systems were used. [•] Strengthening systems: doubler plates, bearing stiffeners, and junction stiffeners. [•] All strengthening system increased ultimate capacity of specimens.
