Abstract: Information about several papers discussed at the Bone Quality Symposium organized by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) is presented. Topics include bone quality and fracture prevention, extent of the problems of osteoporotic fractures, and healthy bones program. The symposium featured several orthopaedic surgeons including Susan V. Bukata and Richard M. Dell.
