Abstract

The authors present their views in response to the article "Role of baseline echocardiography in the preoperative management of liver transplant candidates" by M. E. Harinstein and colleagues published in a 2012 issue of the periodical. They assessed that right heart catheterization (RHC) is the right standard for diagnosis of portopulmonary hypertension and that it correlates variably with echocardiography in some patients. The authors of the article agreed with the assessment.
