Abstract

The article presents a study that explores the palliative care needs of patients with end-stage progressive idiopathic fibrotic interstitial lung disease. The study reported uncontrolled symptoms of insomnia, cough and shortness of breath to patients from lung disease centres in London, England. It suggests the need for an education and guidance of palliative care to improve symptom control and a case conference intervention to help address substantial symptom control and psychosocial needs.
