Abstract

Highlights: [•] A novel hierarchical ZnO structure film was fabricated on a FTO substrate. [•] Hierarchical ZnO film is applied as the electrodes for dye sensitized solar cells. [•] The film possess high specific surface area and fast electron transport effect. [•] The light-scattering effect of the hierarchical film is pronounced.
