Abstract

The article discusses a study which used magnetic levitation (MagLev) to separate mixtures of crystal polymorphs. It is explained that MagLev is a simple system that provides a continuous apparent density gradient in which to measure density and separate objects. The study noted that methods to obtain single polymorphs from mixtures of polymorphic crystals include selective nucleation.
