Abstract
- The article looks at income inequality in the U.S. as of 2013, focusing on the working poor and on retail company Wal-Mart. The author notes the U.S. minimum wage increase that would be needed so that a person working full-time would be above the poverty level. He proposes that Wal-Mart agree to such a wage increase and pass the cost along to its customers, saying it would represent a minor cost increase to the average customer.
