Abstract
- The article investigates the effects of the increased use of monetary policy guidance during the financial crisis on the response of asset prices to the policy. It analyzes the changes in the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) response to future monetary policy decision. It describes the quantification of forward guidance on monetary policy and estimates changes in market expectations of future monetary policy due to announcements.
