Abstract

The article reflects on farm management strategies adopted by Annie Dee, owner of the Dee River Ranch located in Aliceville, Alabama. It informs that Dee will be honored with 2013 Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Exposition Southeastern Farmer of the year award at the 36th Annual Sunbelt Agricultural Expositions in Georgia from October 15-17, 2013. It states that Dee emphasizes on irrigation to enhance the agricultural productivity and aims to have 100 percent of the row crop acreage irrigated.
