The article describes the progress made by the National Center for HIV/AIDS Viral Hepatitis, sexually-transmitted disease (STD), and tuberculosis (TB) Prevention (NCHHSTP) in integrating a social determinants of health (SDH) approach using different areas including public health policy, data systems, and agency partnerships and capacity building. It discusses the progress in recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) SDH consultation.
