Abstract
- The article focuses on chemist Carl Djerassi who has published more than 1,200 scientific papers and 350 of them are published in the "Journal of the American Chemical Society". He has received the National Medal of Science and the National Medal of Technology. Djerassi closed his laboratories in 1992 and began a new intellectual life as a novelist, playwright and poet.
