Abstract
- The article focuses on unprecedented outbreak of fungal infections which are being associated with contaminated methylprednisolone injections. It explores the role of Exserohilum (E.) rostratum on the outbreak, saying that E. rostratum is widely found on plant debris, soil and in water. It states that fungal infection patients had symptoms of meningitis for weeks before they were diagnosed with the said infection.
