Abstract: The article discusses developments related to library science and management and the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) in 2013. It cites the call of some librarians for the elimination of the Dewey Decimal Classification system as a means of classifying and organizing library books. The author discusses most librarians' passion for freedom to read as a part of a free society. The traditions and changes in the library organization are also discussed.
