Abstract
- Highlights: [•] Caloric restriction (CR) and rapamycin extended the chronological lifespan (CLS) of yeast. [•] Caffeine, curcumin, dapsone, metformin, resveratrol, and spermidine did not extend the CLS. [•] Rapamycin prevented total ROS, and increased MMP and ATP at the exponential phase. [•] CR reduced the mito-superoxide, and enhanced MMP and ATP at the stationary phase. [•] Rapamycin and CR worked via mitochondrial functions, but at different timeframes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
