Abstract
- The article discusses the psychology of those who commit mass killings. Research suggests mass killers are obsessive and organized individuals who plan their crimes with considerable care, and who use violence as a medium for expressing their frustrations. The author offers several recommendations on how police and the media can discourage mass killings, among them withholding public identification of the perpetrators.
