Abstract: The article discusses a renewed interest among individual investors in owning stocks five years after a global financial crisis turned many investors skeptical about equities. Through November 10, 2013 investors have added $76 billion to stock funds, after having pulled out $451 billion during the prior seven years. During 2013 the Dow Jones Industrial Average has reached new highs.
