Abstract

The article discusses the business strategy of online retailer Amazon.com Inc. The author believes Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos perceives his company to be vulnerable to competition, and thus is intent on growing Amazon in a way that embeds it firmly in peoples' shopping habits. Initiatives commented on include Amazon's plans to offer home delivery on Sundays, and dramatic growth in the firm's number of warehouses.
